Generi Biotech
Generi Biotech is an R&D company focusing on manufacturing real-time PCR CE IVD (in vitro diagnostic) kits, oligonucleotides and probes, and other products for the life science industry. Their portfolio of IVD products is growing steadily. They aim their products at two market sectors: laboratory diagnostics in human medicine and R&D. They provide CE IVD real-time PCR kits, which fall into five categories: clinical genetics, hematology, pharmacogenetics, oncology, and microbiology. They also offer other products for life science fields, oligos, probes and more.
Altona Diagnostics
Altona Diagnostics is a medical diagnostic company that develops and manufactures IVD (in vitro diagnostic) tests for the PCR based detection of pathogens such as viruses, bacteria or parasites. Molecular diagnostic tests from Altona Diagnostics are based on real-time PCR technology and are packaged as ready-to-use kits. The company’s product catalog contains over 50 CE marked kits that are compatible with open real-time PCR platforms. In addition, they offer an automated workflow solution that is complete with instrumentation, nucleic acid extraction chemistry and a dedicated software.
NuriBio
NuriBio focuses on research and development of PCR-based genetic analysis tools. Their Ctrl-X miRNA Detection Kit has been developed for the detection of specific miRNAs with high accuracy. miRNA detection using standard qRT-PCR protocols is challenging due to their short length. The Ctrl-X miRNA cDNA Synthesis Kit first converts the miRNA to cDNA through simultaneous polyadenylation and reverse transcription. Then, through the miRNA Detection Kit, the target of interest is amplified and detected using the PROMER (primer/probe) technology. This product is sensitive enough to detect even small amounts of miRNA and can discriminate between various isoforms that differ by only one nucleotide.
Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
OncoDNA – OncoDEEP
OncoDNA specializes in precision medicine for the treatment of cancer and other genetic diseases. Their OncoDEEP Kit is a next-generation sequencing (NGS) assay for the in-house comprehensive genomic profiling of tumor samples. It was designed by experts to contain the most relevant and complete cancer gene panel, and it is extensively used and trusted by oncologists. It is now available as an end-to-end solution for your lab and offers reliable insights into a large number of complex cancer biomarkers in a single test. Combined with fully automated data analysis and clinical interpretation software tools, the kit enables you to identify a broader set of treatment options for patients. It leverages the power of OncoDNA’s proprietary knowledgebase OncoKDO with 4,500,000+ genetic variants, 1,400 drugs, 22,000+ documented genes, and data from 9,000+ recruiting clinical trials. The kit is available in RUO and CE-IVD versions.
Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) applications
Singlera
Singlera Genomics is a leader in liquid biopsy and early cancer detection. From their portfolio, we offer a comprehensive solution for cell-free DNA (cfDNA) extraction. Nucleic acid extraction is performed using the CaptureRevo NAE24 Nucleic Acid Purification System together with the Singlera cfDNA isolation kit (48) CE-IVD. One kit is sufficient to isolate 48 samples. The kis it optimized for processing a large volume of plasma: 3-4 mL plasma sample is the starting volume from which an average of 10-20 ng of cfDNA of at least 80% purity can be recovered. The CaptureRevo can handle 1-24 samples simultaneously. The isolation can be automated on the CaptureRevo system, but it can also be performed manually using a magnetic rack.
CWBIO
CoWin Biosciences (CWBIO) provides high-quality reagents for life science research and molecular diagnostic use. From their wide portfolio used by thousands of scientists we provide the Cell-Free DNA Storage Tube (10 mL, Glass), a direct draw whole blood collection tube intended for collection, transport, and storage of blood samples, which stabilizes and preserves cfDNA. Currently, cfDNA is used as a new biomarker in the clinical areas of prenatal diagnosis, tumor detection, post-organ transplant rejection, and infection detection. The Cell-Free DNA Storage Tube is intended for use by qualified clinical personnel during in vitro diagnostic procedures.
Circulating Tumor Cells (CTC) applications
Clinomics – CD-PRIME™
Clinomics’s CD-PRIME™ Lab-on-a-Disk Platform offers automated protocols for the enrichment of CTCs (Circulating Tumor Cells), cfDNA (cell-free DNA), and EV (exosome) that originate from cancer tissues. The circulating tumor cells found in blood samples of patients can be utilized for the diagnosis and prognosis of cancer by highly precise genetic analysis and cell quantification. Our advanced microfluidics technology allows various scenarios of liquid biopsy or simultaneous analyses of analytes.
Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
KDx Diagnostics – URO17
KDx Diagnostics is committed to improving the accuracy of early cancer detection and cancer monitoring. Their non-invasive URO17 urine test is a CE-IVD test for the detection of bladder cancer. Based on liquid biopsy, this test is able to detect urothelial carcinoma (UC) with unprecedented sensitivity and specificity. Keratin17 (K17) immunocytochemistry detects malignant urothelial cells in urine cytology specimens with a sensitivity of 100% and specificity of 96%, which makes it eligible to be a diagnostic biomarker for UC. URO17 is compatible with all standard immunohistochemistry systems, and it can detect both low- and high-grade bladder cancer. It can be used to check for causes behind hematuria, NMIBC follow up and high-risk group screening (smokers, individuals with chemical exposure, family history etc.).
